Specializing in actor headshots

NYC Harlem Headshot Photographer

Presence, Captured with Precision

I shoot portraits and headshots in New York City. I work with actors, performers, people building brands, and anyone who needs a photograph that actually looks like them. I take my time, I pay attention, and I make sure you feel settled before we even get started. The pictures tend to speak for themselves.

Acting Headshots

Packages

For Actors

No pressure, no rushing through looks. We take the time to find what feels natural and true to you — not a performance of yourself, just you on a good day. Bring plenty of options. We'll figure it out together. You'll leave with headshots that are honest, strong, and ready to go to work.

Your headshot is doing a lot before you walk in the room. I pay close attention to light, expression, and all the small things that read differently on screen or stage. Every session is about getting images that feel clear, real, and like you.

HEADSHOT SHARED SESSION RATE

Book with a friend and you both get a better rate. You'll still get the same focused attention throughout - just with someone familiar in the room, which tends to make everything a little easier. Good pictures come from people who feel comfortable.

Other Services

  • Corporate

A branding session is about building something you can use across the board - website, social, press. We put together a set of images that feel cohesive and true to what you do. The kind of thing that makes your whole presence feel more considered.

  • Portraits

Team pages, profiles, LinkedIn - whatever you need it for. I keep the process relaxed and efficient. You don't have to do much except show up. What you walk away with is something polished, approachable, and actually like you.

  • Kids Photography

Kids sessions are low-key by design. I work at their pace, keep things easy, and don't push. The best pictures happen when nobody's forcing it. You end up with portraits that are real, timeless, and full of who they actually are.

  • Lindi was so great to work with. Was up for anything and everything and made it such an easy, open environment for me to really get exactly what I wanted. As customized of an experience as I could have asked for, and a gorgeous return. If you're struggling to choose, choose Lindi.

    - Sanne Anthony

  • We did headshot photos with Lindi. She was absolutely great. Professional, charming, generous, and creative. I highly recommend her for people who needs all kinds of photographs. Lindi rocks.

    - Shaul Magid

  • Lindi was great to work with in getting new commercial headshots. She allowed me to have a say in certain aspects of the shoot, such as choice of background color and poses, which made me feel like my shots weren't going to look like everyone else's. She really works with the talent in that way, which is rare in this business. I look forward to working with her again!

    - Victoria Smith

  • Lindi is a truly amazing photographer! My family will treasure the images she created for us for the rest of our lives. She was able to put us at ease and create exactly the feel we were looking for. The most difficult part is picking the best photo because we loved every single one of them. Getting out photos done by Lindi was the very best experience.

    - Susan Young-Fleming

  • I first noticed Lindi's photography from a friend of mine she photographed. I was blown away by her work and reached out asking who the photographer was. A few weeks later, I was in Lindi's studio and had the best time working with her to capture a new look for me as a filmmaker.

    - Victoria Negri

  • Lindi Gordon’s portraiture (or photography?) is singular. Her work, subtle and extraordinary, the rich beauty and minimalism of Dorothea Lange and the raw depth of Diane Arbus. She creates portraits of one’s interior and outer being. And my head shot is spot on!

    - Bruni Burres

  • Lindi is creative and so fun to work with. She spent time before the session to help me narrow down what my expectations and desired shots were. She is very collaborative on the day and goes above and beyond to get you your shot! Quick turn around with images and amazing communication

    - Erika Chase

  • Highly recommended! Lindi was wonderful to work with. She made the process collaborative and fun, and I felt very comfortable even as someone who's never worked with a professional photographer before. I ended up with a beautiful image for an important milestone in my career, and I am thrilled with the result.

    - Katie Turinski

  • My manager recommended four distinct looks, and Lindi helped me shoot each one to fit my goals exactly! I felt comfortable and relaxed during the shoot. I wasn't rushed, yet the process was still smooth and efficient. My new headshots turned out amazing and even better than I'd hoped, definitely worth the investment!

    - Cayla Berejikian

  • Lindi is a true artist who knows how to put her subject at ease and capture their essence on film. I have shot with her several times and I am certain I will again. She is a joy to work with.

    - Lawrence Vasquez

  • Lindi is the best around! She goes above and beyond to ensure you’re comfortable in her studio and in front of the camera. Loved working with her for my headshots and family portraits. She’s also close to the express 2/3, which is a definite plus!

    - Christopher Vasquez

  • Thank you so much, Lindi—we love the photos! As a father of two energetic children, I really appreciated your calm and welcoming approach, which made us feel comfortable right away. With patience and gentle guidance, you captured their true personalities and those special, unexpected moments. These photos mean so much to us, and their grandmother will be thrilled!

    - Franco Maschio

  • I absolutely loved working with Lindi! She was so patient and calm with my kids. They felt really comfortable working with her! The studio was just a few blocks from the train, so that was also very convenient. Lindi was super professional, the studio was clean and tidy.

  • I don’t use a makeup artist but highly recommend it if you are an actor/actress. I can refer one to you or you can book your own. It is included in the session time so ensure you book a professional who can keep it light, natural and under 15 minutes.

About Me

I’m a photographer working primarily with actors in NYC, capturing headshots that feel real, expressive, and true to who you are. My approach centers on the message you bring to the camera—less about stiff posing, more about presence and energy. My style ranges from dark, moody, and cinematic to bright, colorful, and full of life. Which direction we take is completely up to you—and if you’re torn, there’s no need to choose. We can do both.
